When you receive your SSL certicate from the certicate authority, you can use it
to replace your self-signed certicate. For instructions, see Replacing a Self-Signed
Certicate,” next.
Replacing a Self-Signed Certicate
After you receive a signed certicate from a certicate authority, you can use it to
replace your self-signed certicate.
To replace a self-signed certicate:
1 In the Finder, locate the signed certicate le you received from a certicate authority,
and put the le somewhere you’ll be able to see it, such as on the desktop, while using
Server Preferences.
2 In the Information pane of Server Preferences, click the Edit button to the right of SSL
Certicate.
3 Choose the self-signed certicate you want to replace from the pop-up menu.
“Use SSL certicate” must be selected to make the pop-up menu available.
4 Choose Certicate Signing > “Replace With Signed or Renewed Certicate” from the
pop-up menu.
