To reset your password, using a partner computer and Remote Install Mac OS X:
1 FollowtheprocedureforusingRemoteInstallMacOSX,beginningonpage46.
2 ClickContinueinRemoteInstallMacOSX.
3 OnyourMacmini,selectyourlanguage,andthenchooseUtilities>ResetPassword
fromthemenubarandfollowtheonscreeninstructions.Whenyounish,quit
MacOSXInstaller.
4 Ontheothercomputer,clickQuittoexitRemoteInstallMacOSX.
Using Disk Utility
Whenyouneedtorepair,verify,oreraseyourMacminiharddisk,useDiskUtilityby
sharingtheopticaldiscdriveofanothercomputer.
To use Disk Utility from another computer:
1 FollowtheprocedureforusingRemoteInstallMacOSX,beginningonpage46.
2 InRemoteInstallMacOSX,clickContinue.
3 OnyourMacmini,selectyourlanguage,andthenchooseUtilities>OpenDiskUtility
andfollowtheinstructionsintheFirstAidpanetoseeifDiskUtilitycanrepairthedisk.
Whenyounish,quitMacOSXInstalleronyourMacmini.
4 Ontheothercomputer,clickQuittoexitRemoteInstallMacOSX.
