SOFTWARE PRODUCT LICENSING OPTIONS
The MathWorks standard licensing terms apply to the use of
all MathWorks products. Refer to the License Agreement at
www.mathworks.com/license for complete details and definitions
of terms.
Individual License An Individual license allows the products to
be used by a single Named User designated by the Licensee. The
products may be installed on one or more stand-alone computers
(for example, at work and at home), provided that the products
are only accessible to, and operated by, that single Named User.
Group License Group administered licenses are intended
for locations where a single systems administrator installs and
maintains the products on a group of computers. A Group license
allows products to be installed and used by a specified number
of designated Named Users, with the same restrictions as noted
for Individual licenses. A Group license may also be installed to
operate for the set of designated Named Users over a network. It
is the responsibility of the Licensee to track and control the number
of users of each licensed product. The minimum number of Named
User licenses that must be enrolled in Software Maintenance
Service is 5.
Concurrent License Concurrent licensing allows products to
be licensed per concurrent user on computers that are connected
to a server running a single license manager. The product is not
restricted to named designated users; instead, it allows a specified
number of Licensed Users to run the products concurrently on any
computer on a local area network. Pricing is determined by the
number of Concurrent Users. This license option is available for
Windows
®
, Linux, UNIX
®
, and Mac OS
®
X systems as long as they
operate under a single license manager on a local area network.
Ineligible Programs Not all Programs are eligible for deploy-
ment, compilation, distribution, or Web access. For Programs that
are ineligible, see www.mathworks.com/ineligible_programs.
LICENSE TERM
Most license options are licensed on a PERPETUAL basis, provid-
ing the right to use the software indefinitely. The initial purchase
price of a Perpetual license includes Software Maintenance
Service for the first 12 months. After the initial 12 month period,
an annual software maintenance fee is required to renew your
Software Maintenance Service.
DOCUMENTATION
You may purchase additional documentation for any product you
have licensed. The price is $55 for MATLAB
®
user documentation
and $35 each for all other documentation.
SOFTWARE MAINTENANCE SERVICE
Product Updates. You are entitled to any product updates re-
leased during the service term if you are current under the annual
Software Maintenance Service. The annual Software Maintenance
Service renewal fee is calculated based on the products installed
in your configuration and the licensing option acquired. If your
Software Maintenance Service lapses, reinstatement fees may ap-
ply. Shipping and handling fees for product updates are included
in the Software Maintenance Service renewal fee.
Download Products. If you are current under the annual
Software Maintenance Service, you may obtain the latest
version of the products for which you are licensed at
www.mathworks.com/downloads.
Technical Support. Telephone and e-mail access to technical
support engineers is provided as part of the Software Mainte-
nance Service.
Renewal Fees. The annual Software Maintenance Service price
list shows the renewal fees for the license options.
ORDERING INFORMATION
There are four ways to order:
1. Visit www.mathworks.com/store.
2. Mail the order, accompanied by a check in U.S. dollars,
drawn on a U.S. bank.
3. Charge the order to VISA, MasterCard, or American Express
via mail or phone. Include card number, expiration date, and
name as it appears on the card.
4. Mail or fax a purchase order. We cannot ship based on
phone-in purchase orders. Payment terms are Net 30 and must
be referenced on your purchase order.

Contact Information. Complete ultimate end user information is
required to send installation passcodes and ship updates. Provide
the existing license number or the complete names, addresses, and
email addresses of all ultimate end users.
Sales Tax. For sites in AL, AZ, CA, CO, CT, DC, FL, GA, IL, IN,
MA, MD, MI, MN, MO, NJ, NM, NV, NY, OH, PA, SD, TX, VA, WA
and WI, please add applicable sales tax or provide a tax exemp-
tion certificate or other proof of tax exempt status with your order.
