After installation, your installer files are deleted automatically from the client system.
Apple Remote Desktop can even restart the client system remotely. Software install-
ations can be deployed immediately or scheduled for a later date and time—for
example, when network traffic is low or users are away from their computers.
For applications that require only drag-and-drop installation, you can use the File Copy
feature for software distribution. File Copy can also be used to distribute files and folders,
such as fonts and configuration files, to an exact location in your client’s hard drive.

1. Items to copy. Lists files, folders, and applications that will be copied to targeted
computers.
2. Destination. Specify where the files, folders, and applications should be copied. The
location can be the same as the location of the source files, or you can choose from
several predefined locations and even specify a custom location.
3. Copy options. You can be prompted to choose whether the existing files should be
replaced. You can choose to have the items be opened on the remote computers.
4. File details. View details on the copied item.
5. Schedule task. Schedule the task for a future date and time or have the task repeat
based on a given frequency.
6. Target computer list. Provides a summary of how many computers and lists will be
executing the task. Click the button to add or remove computers and computer lists.
7. Save task. Save the task with the current configuration to re-execute later.
