Grain Surgery
Grain Surgery is a set of specialized filters designed to remove, add or match film grain and noise
in digitized images with minimum loss of sharpness of the image. It is also effective in removing
halftone patterns from scans of printed material, which makes it an
extremely useful tool for both pre-press and Web Publishing. Applying
the Remove Grain tool also generally results in a significant reduction
in file size, an added bonus for Web and video streaming applications.
