Chorus
The well-known chorus effect is based on a delay circuit, the delay time of which is
permanently modulated by an LFO, while the delayed effect signal is mixed with the
original dry signal. It is the most popularly used effect on electric piano sounds. The
single parameter regulates the intensity (the amount of delay time deviation), while the
LFO rate is fixed at 0.7 Hz. Pay close attention when using high values as this may result
in the piano sounding detuned.
Extended Parameters
The EVP88 features a number of extended parameters that are accessible via the
disclosure triangle at the bottom of the EVP88 window.
 Volume slider and field: Sets the overall output level of the EVP88 (Range: –20 to
+20 dB).
 Bend Range Down and Bend Range Up sliders and fields: Determines the pitch bend
range in semitone steps.
 Chorus Rate slider and fields: Sets the speed of the Chorus effect, in Hz.
 Delay PP and FF sliders and fields: Determines the delay time (in milliseconds) when
the keys are struck pianissimo (PP—soft) or forte (FF—hard).
