Bounce surround audio les
Bouncing a surround mix can create a single interleaved le, or it can create multiple audio
les—one per channel—when Split is chosen as the le type.
When multiple les are created, each le is identied by a unique extension.
Note: Use the Bounce Extensions preference tab to dene lename extensions that will be
added to the les resulting from a surround bounce. For more information, see Set surround
preferences on page 730.
Perform a surround bounce to CDDA (CD Digital Audio)
1 Do one of the following:
•
Choose File > Bounce > Project or Section (or use the corresponding key command).
•
Click the Bounce button at the bottom-right corner of any output (or the surround master)
channel strip.
All outputs selected in the surround settings are bounced simultaneously, regardless of which
output channel strip Bounce button is clicked.
2 Select the Surround Bounce checkbox, below the Dithering pop-up menu in the Bounce window.
3 Select other bounce settings, as required.
4 Click the Bounce button.
Note: You can’t use the Bounce command to create compressed surround les (AAC, MP3). If you
click a compressed format checkbox, a dialog appears, indicating that a compressed surround (or
split stereo) bounce is not possible.
Perform a surround bounce to DVD-A
Logic Pro can burn a surround mix of the current project to a DVD-A (DVD-Audio) disc. This can
be:
•
As many as 6 channels (5.1) at 24-bit depth, and 48 kHz sampling rate
•
High denition stereo at 24-bit depth, and 192 kHz sampling rate
1 Do one of the following:
•
Choose File > Bounce > Project or Section (or use the corresponding key command).
•
Click the Bounce button in the bottom-right corner of any output (or the surround master)
channel strip.
All outputs selected in the surround settings will be bounced simultaneously, regardless of
which output channel strip Bounce button is clicked.
2 Select the Burn to CD / DVD checkbox in the Destination pane.
A dialog indicates that you will need to change settings. Click Proceed.
3 Choose DVD-A from the Mode pop-up menu.
4 Choose other bounce settings, as required.
5 Click the Bounce & Burn button.
