Chapter 14 Edit the timing and pitch of audio 394
Delete, reset, and move ex markers
When you delete a ex marker, any time changes that occurred in the area around the ex
marker are either removed—resetting the audio material to its original position—or reset
according to the time-stretching oset of the previous ex marker or region start position and
the following ex marker or region end position.
You can delete only those ex markers that were manually added or all ex edits that were
carried out on the audio le, which includes audio quantization.
You can also change the position of a ex marker in an audio region without changing the
timing of the audio material before or after the ex marker.
Flex Time is also available in the Audio Track Editor, when Show Advanced Tools is selected in
the Advanced preferences pane.

deletes the entire region.

shortcut menu.

quantization process, for example.

The ex marker moves to the same position the audio sample would have moved to if the ex
marker had been deleted.
