Chapter 13 Add a drummer to your project 370
Choose drummer presets
After choosing a genre and drummer you can choose from a collection of drummer-specic
presets in the Drummer Editor. Presets oer a quick way to browse predened, region-based
Drummer Editor settings, including kit piece pattern variations and ll settings. You can use the
default settings, or you can edit them and save your own presets. User presets can be deleted,
but factory presets cannot.
Whenever you choose a dierent preset, or edit settings for the current one, you can play back
the selected region to hear the changes. You can also play back a subtly dierent version of the
selected region without editing any the region settings.

Do one of the following:
m In the Drummer Editor: Choose Refresh region from the Action pop-up menu in the presets area.
m In the Tracks area: Control-click the Drummer region, then choose Edit > Refresh Region from the
shortcut menu.
