Adjust display headroom in the Logic Pro Score Editor
You can adjust the vertical headroom, or the amount of blank space at the top of the score
display. This can be helpful when there are notes with ledger lines extending above the
staff, or chords, symbols, or text above the staff.
Adjust the vertical headroom at the top of the score
1. Place the pointer at the top edge of the score display.
The pointer changes to a pair of up-and-down pointing arrows.
2. Drag up or down to adjust the vertical headroom.
You can adjust the space above or below staffs in the Staff Style window (for more
information, see Work in the Logic Pro Staff Style window).
Repeat events in the Logic Pro Score Editor
The Repeat Events command is especially useful for copying complete bars (or multiple
copies), without setting any bar positions.
Copy a bar that begins with a rest on the first beat
1. Select the notes and symbols you want to repeat.
2. Choose Edit > Repeat Events (or use the Repeat Regions/Events key command).
3. In the Repeat Regions/Events dialog, insert the number of copies to create, choose Bar
from the Adjustment pop-up menu, then click OK.
For more information on the Repeat Events command, see Cut and paste regions in the
Logic Pro Tracks area.
Insert items in multiple regions in the Logic Pro Score Editor
You can add notes and symbols from the Part box into all currently selected regions, at the
same position. This technique allows you to insert notes, symbols, and even text elements
into several regions at once.
When multiple regions are selected, the top line of the Event inspector shows the number
of selected staffs (regions).
Note: Key changes, signature changes, and global signs can’t be inserted into individual
staffs.
Insert an item in multiple regions
1. In the Tracks area or Score Editor, select the regions into which you want to insert the
item.
2. Press and hold Shift and do one of the following:
Drag the item from the Part box into one of the regions at the position where you
want to add it.
Click in one of the regions with the Pencil tool at the position where you want to add
the item.
