4. In the Cell inspector, set the default values, including default cell length, recording
settings, or quantize value for MIDI recordings.

Set recording defaults for an individual cell
You can also set defaults for individual cells. This can be useful when you want to predefine
different recording lengths for different scenes, while keeping automatic recording lengths
in bars as a general default.
1. In Logic Pro, select one or more cells for which you want to set recording defaults. The
cells must all be of the same type (audio or MIDI).
2. In the Cell inspector, set the default values, including default cell length, recording
settings, or quantize value for MIDI recordings.
Record and edit takes in cells in Logic Pro
When you set the Recording parameter to Takes, each new recording in a cell creates a
new take. If a cell contains takes, the number of takes is displayed in the lower-left corner
of the cell, and the currently active take is displayed in the upper left. You can choose and
preview each take individually, even while the cell is playing. You can also rename, delete,
flatten, move, and copy takes.
You can move take folders from the Tracks area to cells and move take folders from cells
to the Tracks area. If you want to edit comps in a cell, you must drag the cell to the Tracks
area, edit the comps there, then drag the resulting region back to the Live Loops grid when
you are finished.
Open the Take Folder pop-up menu
In Logic Pro, click the upper-left corner of a cell containing takes.
