If the Lane Set already contains a matching lane type (for a particular note pitch, as an
example), Logic Pro does not create a superfluous lane. The existing lane is moved into the
visible area of the Step Editor in this situation.
Note: Make sure that you deselect Auto Define immediately after completing your input.
Create lanes for all event types in a region
1. In Logic Pro, select the region.
2. Choose Lanes > Create Multiple Lanes (or use the corresponding key command).
3. In the dialog that appears, click the All button to confirm that you want to create lanes
for all types of events in the region.
Tip: Its a good idea to create a new Lane Set before creating a group of new lanes. For
more information, see Use Lane Sets in the Step Editor in Logic Pro.
Edit lane parameters in Logic Pro
You can copy, delete, reorganize, and convert lanes and their associated parameters when
creating Lane Sets.
Tip: Use the Select Next Step Lane or Select Previous Step Lane key commands to
rapidly move between lanes.
Copy a set of Lane parameters between two Lane Sets
1. In Logic Pro, click the name of the lane you want to copy.
2. Choose Lanes > Copy Lane (or pressControl-C).
3. Switch to the destination Lane Set by choosing the Lane Set name from the pop-up
menu at the top of the inspector.
4. Choose Lanes > Paste Lane (or pressControl-V).
Delete lanes
In Logic Pro, select one or more lanes, then choose Lanes > Delete Lane (or press
Control-Delete).
