5. Choose a patch for the new track from the Library.
After creating a new MIDI region, you may want to play it together with the original audio
recording to hear any inaccuracies, then make corrections to MIDI notes, adjust their
velocity, quantize the region, or perform other edits in the Piano Roll Editor. You can also
open the region in the Score Editor to view MIDI notes as music notation.

Use Varispeed in Logic Pro
Varispeed provides a way to speed up or slow down the entire project, similar to the
original varispeed feature of tape machines. The most practical use for this option is
checking how a project might sound at a faster or slower tempo, and for practicing or
recording a performance at a lower speed.
In Logic Pro, you can speed up or slow down a project between −50 percent and +100
percent, which is between 50 percent and 200 percent of the original tempo.
Varispeed is only available when Show Advanced Tools is selected in the Advanced
preferences pane.
