2. In the Command list, click the disclosure triangle next to the category of commands you
want to reveal, then select the key command you want to assign. You can also search
for the key command in the Search field.
3. Click the Learn New Assignment button.
4. Press the control surface button that you want to assign to the key command. This
sends a MIDI message to Logic Pro.
The name of the controller appears in the Assignments field.
5. Repeat steps 2 to 4 to make additional assignments.
6. Click the close button to exit the window.
Assign a button or key release message to a key command
1. Choose Logic Pro > Key Commands to open the Key Commands window.
2. In the Command list, click the disclosure triangle to reveal the commands for a
category, then select the key command you want to assign (or use the Search field).
3. Hold down the control surface button or key that you want to assign to the key
command.
4. Click the Learn New Assignment button.
5. Release the button or key.
The name of the button or key appears in the Assignments field.
6. Click the close button to exit the window.
Delete a key command assignment
1. Choose Logic Pro > Key Commands to open the Key Commands window.
2. Select the key command with an assignment you want to delete in the Command list.
3. Select the assignment for the key command in the Assignments field.
4. Press the Delete key.
