Advanced preferences in Logic Pro
These preferences provide access to a number of advanced features and additional options.
“Show Advanced Tools” checkbox: When selected, advanced features such as project
alternatives and backups, beat mapping, expanding mixing and automation capabilities,
and more are available. Additional options can be individually enabled.
Additional options are available only when Show Advanced Tools is selected in Advanced
preferences.
Additional Options “Audio” checkbox: When selected, enables destructive audio editing
and advanced configuration options.
Additional Options “Surround” checkbox: When selected, enables all features for
surround audio production. Note that this requires a surround speaker setup in order to
hear your audio.
Additional Options “MIDI” checkbox: When selected, enables signal flow control and
real-time processing of MIDI input and output streams in the Environment.
Additional Options “Control Surfaces” checkbox: When selected, enables the creation
of new control surfaces and the ability to edit any functional detail of control surface
systems.
Additional Options “Score” checkbox: When selected, enables the full feature set of the
Score window.
Additional Options “Advanced Editing” checkbox: When selected, enables advanced
editing functionality such as region aliases, track reassignment, historical tuning scales,
and the Tempo Interpreter.
Additional Options “Disable All” button: Click to deselect all Additional Options
checkboxes.
Additional Options “Enable All” button: Click to select all Additional Options
checkboxes.
