Replace pop-up menu: Set the behavior when Replace is enabled.
Region Erase: Erases regions from the Tracks area from the start of recording until
the end of recording, even if nothing is played.
Region Punch: Erases regions only where audio material or MIDI events have been
recorded.
Content Erase: Does not erase regions but the audio or MIDI content inside of them,
from the start of recording until the end of recording, even if nothing is played.
Content Punch: Does not erase regions but the audio or MIDI content inside of them,
only where audio material or MIDI events have been recorded.
Record Project Settings button: Opens the Record Project Settings window.
MIDI preferences
General MIDI preferences in Logic Pro
General MIDI preferences are only available when Show Advanced Tools is selected in
Advanced preferences.
“External stop message ends recording” checkbox: If using external synchronization
and the timecode stops while recording, record mode is turned off. If this checkbox is
unselected, Logic Pro stops, but remains in record mode (record mode is paused).
Reset All MIDI Drivers button: Resets all MIDI drivers. This can help if you experience
MIDI communication problems.
