TheSelectEqualChannelsmenuentrycannolongerbeaccessedintheArrange
window.ThisisbecauseallRegionshavethesame“MIDIchannel”(or,moreaccurately,
theMIDIchanneldoesn’tapplytoRegionevents),resultingin“SelectEqualChannels”
behavingidenticallyto“SelectSimilar”whenappliedtoRegions.Thismakesthe
“channel”menuitemsuperfluous,soitisnolongeraccessible.
SelectSimilarwillselectthesameRegiontype—eitherAudioorMIDI—independentof
position.Thereisnofurtherdistinctioncriteriaasforcontrolchangeevents(controller
number),noteevents(notename,octave)orEnvironmentObjects(Objecttype).
SelectEqualselectsMIDIRegionswithexactlythesamecontentandsize.Foraudio,all
Regionsofthesamelengthandposition(ofthesameaudiofile)areselectedas“equal”.

AutomatingtheBypassStatusofAudioInstrumentInsertSlots

Sendingavalueof64—withcontroller56—toAudioInstrumentchannelstogglesthe
bypassstatusoftheInstrumentslot(ratherthanthefirstInsertslot,asisthecasewith
othertypesofaudiochannels).ThisdifferencetothelayoutofAudioInstrument
channelsnecessitatestheuseofcontroller57—again,atavalueof64—toswitchthe
bypassstatusofthefirstInsertslot.Controller58,sendingavalueof64,switchesthe
bypassstatusofInsertslot2,andsoon,withensuingcontrollernumbers/Insertslots
onAudioInstrumentchannelstrips.
SpeechEnhancerChanges
TheAutoselectoptionhasbeenaddedtotheMicmodelmenu.Ifthisoptionis
selectedwhenthesongissaved,theappropriatecomputermodelwillautomatically
loadthenexttimeyouopenthesong.
