Voice Mute Mode button: When active, playing MIDI note C1 and above mutes the
corresponding sound in the Ultrabeat mixer. A subsequent MIDI note of the same pitch
unmutes it. This is ideal for spontaneous rearranging of patterns and/or muting single
elements of a pattern without deleting them. This is especially useful in a live
performance or remixing situation.
All the creative pattern switching options discussed in this section are achieved through
the use of MIDI note messages and can therefore be simply recorded, edited, arranged,
and automated in Logic Express.
Ultrabeat Tutorial: Introduction
The Ultrabeat tutorials cover a number of specific sound creation tips. These tutorials will
help you explore the vast and complex possibilities available to you in Ultrabeat. You’ll
discover that there is hardly a category of electronic drum sound that Ultrabeat can’t
create easily.
Note: In Ultrabeats Settings > 03 Tutorial Settings folder, you will find Tutorial Kit, a drum
kit that contains all the drum sounds discussed in the tutorials. The Tutorial Kit also
includes the Standard Tut(orial) drum sound, which is a default set of neutral parameters
that provide an excellent starting point for many of the examples.
All Ultrabeat tutorial sections are listed below:

tuned sine wave.
