When you double-click the icon of a CD that combines audio tracks and data (while that CD is playing), you cannot open it. You can’t open a CD-ROM disc while it’s playing an audio track. Click the Stop button in the AppleCD Audio Player before opening the disc. You seem to be unable to record sound from a disc. Check the Sound control panel to make sure that “Internal CD” is
selected as the sound input device. When recording sound from a disc, you cannot immediately replay the sound from the Sound control panel’s Add dialog box. You must first save the sound and then replay by selecting it from the Alert Sounds list in the Sound control panel.
Problems using Photo CD discs Your Apple CD 300i will not open Photo CD discs. To open Photo CD images, your computer must have both QuickTime and the Photo CD extension installed on your system. To install the Photo CD extension, follow the installation instructions in “Setting Up Your CD-ROM Software.”
