Paper Jams in Fuser/Delivery Area (Continued)

7 Verify that the cable that
runs to the paper delivery
sensor is still securely
connected. Connect a
multimeter across
connector pins P16-3
(EXIT) and P16-2 (GND) on
the DC controller board.
Manually actuate the paper
delivery sensor by inserting
a sheet of paper between
the sensor arms. Does the
voltage drop from +5 VDC
to 0 VDC when you remove
the paper from the sensor?

Replace the DC controller board.
Replace the paper delivery sensor. If
the problem persists, replace the
delivery sensor cable.

Yes Remove the excess paper.

damaged or worn?
Yes Replace the cassette pickup rollers.
6 Are the cassette feed rollers
damaged or worn?
Yes Replace the cassette feed roller shaft.
