Top-Cover Interlock
Defeating the top-cover interlock simulates a clamshell-shut
condition and is required in certain troubleshooting procedures.
You defeat this interlock by lodging a stiff, non-metallic insert
into the interlock switch. A plastic ball-point pen cap or folded
index card works well.
