the Apple logo or “connect to
iTunes.”

Yes Go to step 4.
No Go to step 5.
4. Verify functionality.
Determine if the device is still
exhibiting the behaviors the
user claimed were the initial
issue.
Is the issue resolved?
Yes Issue resolved.
No Go to step 5.
5. Restore with iTunes.
Restore the device using
the latest version of iTunes.
If restore fails, attempt DFU
restore.
Warning: This will delete all
user data on the device.
Is the issue resolved?
Yes Go to step 6.
No Determine if the issue is caused by
accidental damage. Refer to the Visual
Mechanical Inspection guidelines.
