Install Shim
1 Select a shim that comes
closest to the difference
calculated.
• 0.002 inch
(0.05 mm)
• 0.004 inch (0.1 mm)
• 0.008 inch (0.2 mm)
2 Push the carrier shaft
toward the rear of the
printer. Using
needlenose pliers, insert
the two protruding tabs
into the holes on the
shim and slide the shim
into position.
