The tap-and-drag gesture is similar to a double-tap, except you don’t lift your fingers on the second tap—instead, drag your fingers on the screen. Once you start dragging, you can drag with a single finger. iPhone returns to the adjusted magnification when you zoom in again using the three-finger double-tap.
APPLE CONFIDENTIAL Speak Selection Even with VoiceOver turned off, you can have iPhone read aloud any text you select. iPhone analyzes the text to determine the language, then reads it to you using the appropriate pronunciation. Turn on Speak Selection. Go to Settings > General > Accessibility > Speak Selection.
APPLE CONFIDENTIAL Reduce screen motion You can stop the movement of some screen elements, for example, the parallax effect of icons and alerts against the wallpaper, or motion transitions. While the item is highlighted, trigger the switch you’ve set up as your Select Item switch. If you are using a single switch, it is your Select Item switch by default. Perform an action on the selected item. Select a command from the control menu that appears when you select the item. The layout of the menu depends on whether you use Auto Tap.
APPLE CONFIDENTIAL Item scanning Item scanning alternately highlights each item or group of items on the entire screen until you trigger your Select Item switch. If there are many items, Switch Control highlights them in groups. When you select a group, highlighting continues with the items in the group.
