Compressor preferences
Intro to Compressor preferences
You can modify Compressor preference settings to customize your workflow.
Open Compressor preferences
• Choose Compressor > Preferences (or press Command-Comma), then click a button at
the top of the window to open a pane.
There are four panes in the preferences window:
• Use the General pane to set basic application preferences.
• Use the My Computer pane to allow other computers to use your computer to
process batches.
• Use the Shared Computers pane to set up groups of shared computers for
distributed processing.
• Use the Advanced pane to adjust additional distributed processing settings.
General preferences in Compressor
General preferences are basic settings in Compressor.
• Setting: Use this pop-up menu to specify a default setting for new jobs.
• Location: Use this pop-up menu to specify a default location for new jobs.
