User`s manual
For your own safety and that of your equipment, always take the
following precautions.
Disconnect the monitor’s power plug (by pulling the plug, not the cord) if a ny
of the following conditions exists:
m th e powe r cord or plug becomes frayed or otherwise damaged
m you spill something into the case
m your monitor is exposed to rain or a ny oth er excess moisture
m your monitor has been dropped or the case has been otherwise damaged
m you suspect that your monitor needs service or repair
m you want to clean the case (use only the recommended pro cedure
described in “Care and Cleaning” in Chapter 4)
IMPORTANT
The only way to disconnect power completely is to unplug the
monitor’s power cord. Make sure at least one end of th e power cord is withi n
easy reach so that you can unplug the monitor wh en you need to.
Be sure that you always:
m Keep your monitor away from sources of liquids, such as washbasins,
bathtubs, shower stalls, beverages, and so on.
m Avoid setti ng anything on top of the monitor (such as a book or cup). Th e
monitor could overheat and be damaged.
m Keep the monitor’s vents free from obstruction.
m Protect your monitor from dampness or wet weath er, such as rain, snow,
and so on.
m Read all the installation instructions carefully before you plug your
monitor i nto a power source.
m Keep these i nstructions handy for reference by you and others.
m Follow all i nstructions and warni ngs deali ng with your system.
WARNING
Never remove the cover from the monitor or you may come i n
contact with hazardous voltage levels capable of causi ng serious injury
and possibly death.
