Roller Cleaning
With high usage or with the wrong paper, the paper pickup
and feed rollers can accumulate paper dust and other
contaminants. Eventually the printer can experience paper
misfeeds or paper jams.
There are two methods for removing the contaminants and
restoring the printer rollers to normal operation:
• clean rollers using the cleaning tool
• clean rollers by hand with a lint-free cloth or foam swab
Although the cleaning tool is no longer available for order, if
you have one, refer to the procedure “Cleaning Rollers With
the Cleaning Tool.” If a cleaning tool is not available, refer
to the steps in “Cleaning Rollers by Hand.”
