5 Lift the latch on the side of the computer and gently lower the side panel onto a clean, flat
surface, preferably onto a soft, clean cloth.
Note: If the latch won’t lift, check that the security lock port and lockable cover latch in the
back of the computer are not locked.
Lift the latch to unlock
the side panel.
Gently lower the side
panel until it lies flat.
