To brush the Skin Smoothing adjustment on an image
1 Select an image.
2 Do one of the following:
In the Adjustments inspector or the Adjustments pane of the Inspector HUD, choose
Quick Brushes > Skin Smoothing from the Adjustments pop-up menu.
In the tool strip, choose Skin Smoothing from the Quick Brush pop-up menu (with a
brush icon).
The Skin Smoothing Brush HUD appears, and the Skin Smoothing adjustment controls
appear in the Adjustments inspector and the Adjustments pane of the Inspector HUD, if
both are shown.
3 Specify the brush stroke settings using the controls in the Skin Smoothing Brush HUD.

4 Brush the adjustment on the area of the image that contains the person whose skin you
want to smooth.
The persons skin in the image appears smoother where the Skin Smoothing Quick Brush
adjustment is applied.
To modify the Skin Smoothing adjustment after it has been applied to an image
1 Select an image with the Skin Smoothing adjustment applied to it.
2 In the Skin Smoothing area of the Adjustments inspector or the Adjustments pane of the
Inspector HUD, modify the Skin Smoothing adjustment by specifying the following
settings:
Specify the area over which the Skin Smoothing adjustment is applied using the Radius
slider and value slider.
Specify the amount of detail to preserve in the area of the image where the Skin
Smoothing adjustment is applied using the Detail slider and value slider.
Specify the amount of the Skin Smoothing adjustment you want to apply to the image
using the Intensity slider and value slider.
The previously applied Skin Smoothing adjustment is modified.
