Creating Smart Albums with Images of People
You can create a Smart Album and specify a specific person or group of people as search
criteria. For example, you can create a Smart Album that is set to collect photos of your
family members. First you create the Smart Album, and then you use the Smart Album’s
Smart Settings HUD to specify that it collect photos of each individual in your family.
To configure a Smart Album to collect images of particular people
1 Choose File > New > Smart Album (or press Command-Shift-L).
A new, untitled Smart Album appears in the Library inspector.
2 Give the Smart Album a name.
3 In the Smart Albums Smart Settings HUD, choose Face from the Add Rule pop-up menu.
4 Select the Face checkbox, choose “includes” from the Face pop-up menu, then enter the
name of the person you want to include in the Smart Album in the text field to the right
of the pop-up menu.

5 Repeat steps 3 and 4 for each additional person you want added to the Smart Album.
6 When you have finished, close the Smart Settings HUD.
A quick way to create a Smart Album configured to collect photos of a specific person is
to drag the snapshot of the person in Faces view to the Library inspector.
