5. Browse
Directories may be browsed to search for Apogee speaker type configuration files (.cfg). Configuration
files for all Apogee speaker types will automatically download during the software installation to a default
directory recognized by the DLC24 Speaker Configuration Software during the installation process.
6. Description of Channel A / Description of Channel B
This is the user-defined default name that will appear in the Channel and Status Windows in ADAM.
It can be renamed in ADAM.
7. Create Download File
By selecting this button, the user can save the user-created speaker configuration to a configuration
download file (.cdl). This file will be used to download the speaker configuration to the DLC24. If the file
is saved successfully, a dialog box will appear saying, “Download file created!”
8. COM 1
Select the proper COM port of the PC in order to download the configuration download file (.cdl).
9. Scan Network
Select Scan Network to search and detect any units on the network. In order for a DLC24 to be detected,
it must be properly connected to a PC using either an RS-232 or RS-422 connection. Refer to
PC Interface Connection
(page 7) for more information.
10. Download
Once a unit is detected using Scan Network, select the unit and press Download. A dialog box will
appear asking, “Downloading will replace the existing configuration. Do you wish to proceed?” Press
“Yes”. If the download is successful, another dialog box will appear saying, “Download finished.”
