BATTERY REPLACEMENT
CAUTION: Risk of explosion if battery is replaced by an incorrect type. Dispose of used batteries according
to the instructions.
Replacement of the clock battery results in the device losing the following:
The date and time settings.
Any badgings stored locally on the device. Ensure all badgings are polled prior to replacing the battery.
Replacement of the clock battery does not lose the following information::
Network configuration.
Badge format.
Supervisor PIN
MATERIALS NEEDED
Clock Battery. Panasonic CR2032 3.0V (Batteries are available for purchase from API Healthcare.)
Security Key
Non-metallic tool with a flat head. For example, a plastic pen cap.
Service cart or other flat surface
REPLACING THE BATTERY
1. Prevent badgings from being entered at the device. Within the Communication software, use the Disable
Device option. In the event data entry is attempted at the device, the device responds with an invalid entry
and displays "Out of Service".
2. Poll any remaining punches.
