2.7.6 PumpModule/HeatExchangerElectricalInstallation
Theelectricalinstallationofthe heatexchangerandpumpmoduleunitshouldbeinaccordancewiththeNational
ElectricalCodeandanylocalcodesandregulations.TheincomingACpoweriseither208‐240Vor380‐415V,3phase
50/60Hz.Fanandpumpmotorsarethreephase.

DISABLE AND LOCK OUT STATION PRIMARY POWER BEFORE PRIMARY POWER
CABLES ARE CONNECTED TO THE EQUIPMENT.
STEP 1 InstallconduitandrouteACmainscablingtothepumpmoduleandfromthe
pumpmodulecontrolpaneltotheheatexchangerisolatorswitches.Install
andwireaccordingtotheHarrisBroadcastExternalWiringdiagramandfollow
localwiringcodes.
STEP 2 Installanotherconduitandroutewiringforstatusandcontrollinesbetween
thepumpmoduleandtransmittercabinet.Installandwireaccord ingto
electricalschematicdiagramandlocalwiringcodes.
Caution
SMALL SIGNAL (CONTROL/STATUS) WIRES AND AC WIRING SHOULD
NEVER BE RUN IN THE SAME CONDUIT.
STEP 3 TurnOFFthecircuitbreakersonthepumpmodulecontrolpanelandthe
isolatorswitchesontheheatex changerunit.TheywillbeturnedONlaterin
theproceduretocheckforwiring problems.
STEP 4 Connectthecontrolandstatuswirestothecoolingcontrolpanelwiththe
suppliedmulti‐conductorcable.Theseconnectionsaredescribedonthe
externalwiringdiagram.Theselowlevelsignalsconnecttheterminalsinthe
pumpmodulecontrolpanel(J3orJ4)tothepumpmoduleconnectorontopof
the
transmittercabinet.

Note
Condensation can occur in the conduits connecting the heat exchanger (outside) and the transmitter
(inside). These conduits should be caulked or sealed after the system is tested and operational. Sealing the
conduit prevents warm air inside the building from entering the portion of the conduit that is located out
-
side the building.
STEP 5 ConnectthecontrolandstatuswirestoconnectorJ1onthecustomerI/O
panel(locate datthetopofthetransmitter)withthesuppliedmulti‐
conductorcable.Theselowlevelsignalsconnectfromterminalsinsidethe
pumpmodulecontrolpanel(J3orJ4)toJ1‐1throughJ1‐12(see
Figure2‐1),on
theconnectorlabelledpumpmoduleonthecustomerI/Opanelontopofthe
transmitter.
