2.5 TransmitterCabinetPlacement
Thetransmittercabinetshouldbeplacedwhereitwillhaveapproximately1meterclearanceoneachsideandinthe
back.Thefrontofthetransmittershouldhaveaclearanceofatleast1.5meterstoallowaccessforremovaland
installationofthe PAmodules.Thereareseveraldrawingsincluded
inthedrawingpackagetohelpplanthecabinet
placement:
• OutlineDrawing
• RFEquipmentLayout
• LiquidCoolingSystemLayout
STEP 1 Removetheboltsorstrapsholdingthetransmittertothewoodenpalletand
carefullyslidethecabinetoffthepallet.
STEP 2 Removereardoorandsetasideinasafeplacefortherestoftheinstallation
process.
MULTI‐CABINETMODELS:
STEP 3 Placecabinetsinpositionandcarefullyalign.
ALLMODELS:
STEP 4 Uselevellingshimsundertransmittercabinetasrequiredtomakesurethe
transmitterislevelandsolid(notrocking).
STEP 5 InstallDripTray.Thealuminumdriptrayslidesunderthetransmitterjust
belowthereardoorpanel.Thedriptrayrestsonthefloorandiscentered
underneaththerearoftheMaxivatransmitter.Itshouldbechecked
periodicallyforpresenceofcoolant.
Note
Do not open the packaging for, or install IPA (driver), or PA modules at this time. These will be installed
just before the initial turn on.

RefertotheRFLayoutandElectricalInstallationdrawingsforPatchPanelconnections.

ALWAYS SHUT THE TRANSMITTER OFF BEFORE REMOVING COAX
PATCHES TO PREVENT POSSIBLE DAMAGE TO THE ANCHOR INSULATORS
(BULLETS).
