ThePCMcardcontainsabatterythatisusedfortherealtimeclockintheTCU.Thebatterypowersrealtimeclock
circuitrytomaintaintheclocktime/datewhentheunitdoesnothaveACpowerapplied.Theunitistypically
shippedwiththebatteryremovedfromthePCMcard.
Thebatteryshouldbeinstalledbeforethetransmittergoes
intooperation.
Theclockbattery(partnumber6600093000forolderPCM1cardsand6600054000formorerecentPCM2
models)ispackedinsideaplasticbagthatcontainsbatteryreplacementinstructions.Oncethetransmitteris
installedandACpowerhasbeenconnectedtheclockbatteryshouldbeinstalled
inthePCMcard.
5.14.5.1 PCM2BatteryInstallationInstructions
STEP 1 Turnoffthetransmitterandremovepowerfromthetransmittercabinetor
disconnecttheACplug(s)fromtherearoftheTCU.
Caution
TCU CARDS ARE NOT HOT SWAPPABLE. THE TRANSMITTER SHOULD BE
OFF AND THE POWER DISCONNECTED FROM THE TCU BEFORE REMOVAL
OF CARDS.
STEP 2 UsethefingerholecutoutsbuiltintothesidesoftheTCUfrontpanelashandles,pull
outwardanddownonthefrontcover.
STEP 3 LocatethebatteryholderonthePCM2card.Locationisshowninfigure534.

whil eslidingthebatteryundertheclip.The+sideofthebatterymustinstalled
