ThePCMcardcontainsabatterythatisusedfortherealtimeclockintheTCU.Thebatterypowersrealtimeclock
circuitrytomaintaintheclocktime/datewhentheunitdoesnothaveACpowerapplied.Theunitistypically
shippedwiththebatteryremovedfromthePCMcard.
Thebatteryshouldbeinstalledbeforethetransmittergoes
intooperation.
Theclockbattery(partnumber660‐0093‐000forolderPCM‐1cardsand660‐0054‐000formorerecentPCM‐2
models)ispackedinsideaplasticbagthatcontainsbatteryreplacementinstructions.Oncethetransmitteris
installedandACpowerhasbeenconnectedtheclockbatteryshouldbeinstalled
inthePCMcard.
5.14.5.1 PCM‐2BatteryInstallationInstructions
STEP 1 Turnoffthetransmitterandremovepowerfromthetransmittercabinetor
disconnecttheACplug(s)fromtherearoftheTCU.
Caution
TCU CARDS ARE NOT HOT SWAPPABLE. THE TRANSMITTER SHOULD BE
OFF AND THE POWER DISCONNECTED FROM THE TCU BEFORE REMOVAL
OF CARDS.
STEP 2 UsethefingerholecutoutsbuiltintothesidesoftheTCUfrontpanelashandles,pull
outwardanddownonthefrontcover.
STEP 3 LocatethebatteryholderonthePCM‐2card.Locationisshowninfigure5‐34.
