5.14.3 PanelPCTouchScreenCalibration
TheGUItouchscreenhasbeencalibratedatthefactory .Shouldcalibrationbecomenecessary,thecalibrationscreen
canbeaccessedbyswitchingtheTCUpanelPCtouchscreendisplayoffforfifteensecondsthenbackon.Theon/off
rockerswitchisshownin
Figure5‐32andislocatedbehindtheTCUfrontpanel,onthelowerleftsideofthepanel
PCdisplayunit,behindthefiltermaterial.Itcanbeaccessedbypullingthefrontpaneloutwardandthendownward
beforereachingintotheopeningbehindthepanel.
Oncethedisplayisswitchedbackon,watchthescreenclosely.Afterapproximatelyfortysecondsalineoftext
stating"Touchthescreentobegincalibration"willbedisplayed(briefly).Oncethislineisdisplayed,theusermust
touchthescreentobeginthefivepresscalibrationprocess.Simplypressthe
smallXsastheyappear.Becarefulnot
todoubletaptheXsoryouwill corruptthecalibrationandhavetoreboottorestartthecalib rationprocess.

ThepanelPCdisplayunitcanalsoberebootedintheeventofaproblem.Theunitcanbeturnedoffforfifteen
secondsandthenswitchedbackon.RebootingthepanelPCdoesnotaffecttransmitteroperationandcanbedone
withthetransmitteronair.

DateandtimesettingscanbeperformedusingthelocalGUIscreen.SeeFigure3‐24onpage3‐22whichshowsthe
localGUIservicescreenandTable3‐9onpage3‐22,whichexplainsthedateandtimesetting.
5.14.5 ChangingthePCMCardBattery
Transmittercontrolunits(TCU’s)areshippedascomponentsinseveraldifferentHarristransmittermodels.TheTCU
willcontaindifferentprintedcircuitcardsdependingonthetransmitterapplication.TCU’sthathaveGUI(graphical
userinterfacetouchscreen)displayswillcontainaPCMcard.ThePCMcardisthesecondcardfromthe
rightwhen
lookingatthefrontoftheTCU.
