Bow Tie-Down
Center Tie-Downs
Stern Tie-Down
Always tie down the front and rear of the kayak. The included tie-down ropes or cam buckle straps
may be used. Attach the tie-downs to a secure, metal tie-down point on the vehicle, such as a tow
loop, frame hole, or metal bumper, and a secure point on the kayak, such as a grab handle. Make
sure the front and rear tie-downs have even pressure. Be careful to not overtighten.
Use a secure tie-
down point on each
end of the kayak.
Tie up any
excess strap
length.
Straps may wear paint at contact points. To prevent damage, make sure contact points are
clean and padded with a strap protector or soft cloth.
A 3-point tie-down conguration
provides added stability.
