Control Solution Trouble Shooting
If your control solution testing is out of range (too high or too low), it may be caused
by the following:
Possible Causes What you can do …
• Wrong brand of Control
Solution being used
• Control solution is not at
proper storage condition
59°F to 86°F
• Expired or contaminated
control solution or
damaged test strip
• Meter malfunction
• Make sure you are using Contrex™ Plus III Control
Solution.
• Make sure the testing environment is between 50°F
to 104°F, 20~85% RH.
• Check the expiration and open bottle date on both
the control solution and test strips. Repeat testing
using a new test strip. If the result is still out of
range, use a new bottle of control solution and retest.
• If problem persists, please call us at 1-877-979-5454
between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm EST, Monday through
Friday for questions and inquiries. If out of the central
time, you can contact your healthcare providers.
