PD column description:
Slot
The position of a hard drive. The button next to the number
of slot shows the functions which can be executed.
Size (GB)
(MB)
Capacity of hard drive. The unit can be displayed in GB or
MB.
RG Name
RAID group name.
Status
The status of hard drive:
x “Online” Æ the hard drive is online.
x “Rebuilding” Æ the hard drive is being rebuilt.
x “Transition” Æ the hard drive is being migrated or is
replaced by another disk when rebuilding occurs.
x “Scrubbing” Æ the hard drive is being scrubbed.
Health
The health of hard drive:
x “Good” Æ the hard drive is good.
x “Failed” Æ the hard drive is failed.
x “Error Alert” Æ S.M.A.R.T. error alert.
x “Read Errors” Æ the hard drive has unrecoverable
read errors.
Usage
The usage of hard drive:
x “RAID disk” Æ This hard drive has been set to
a RAID group.
x “Free disk” Æ This hard drive is free for use.
x “Dedicated spare” Æ This hard drive has been set
as dedicated spare of a RG.
x “Global spare” Æ This hard drive has been set as
global spare of all RGs.

Hard drive vendor.
Serial
Hard drive serial number.
Type
Hard drive type:
x “SATA” Æ SATA disk.
x “SATA2” Æ SATA II disk.
x “SAS” Æ SAS disk.
