Using the CLI Commands
4-2
Controller modifier
In a dual-controller system, hardware such as the host interface ports is exactly the same on the two controllers. To specify
which controller the hardware to be selected in CLI, a controller modifier is added. For example, to refer to the first FC port in
controller A, the identifier is °ßfcpa1°®. Without the modifier, all identifiers are referring to local controller (the controller that
user logs in currently).
