The Power Distribution Tab
Access detailed PDU status information
Path: Power Distribution > Overview
The first time you select the Power Distribution tab, the Overview page displays. If an alarm caused by
an output power condition exists, a status icon and accompanying text display on the page.
Path: Power Distribution > System Output > Measurements
This page lists detailed information about power leaving the PDU:
• Voltage: The phase-to-phase output voltage (e.g., L1-2 for phase L1 to phase L2) for a 3-wire
connection, or the phase-to-neutral output voltage (e.g., L1 for phase 1 to neutral) for a 4-wire
connection.
• Current: The load supported by each phase, in RMS current (Irms).
• Power: The active power, in kW, provided for each phase and for the total of the three phases.
• Apparent Power: The apparent power, in kVA, provided for each phase and for the total of the
three phases.
• Power Factor: The ratio between active power and apparent power (kW/kVA). This ratio affects
the power available to the load.
• Energy Usage: Measured in Kilowatt hours for L1, L2, and L3.
• Frequency: The frequency, in Hz, of the output.
Add a panel breaker
Path: Power Distribution > Panel Config > add breakers
Select add breakers under Panel Config in the navigation pane on the left to open the set up page to add a
new breaker. Add the breaker details:
– Select the panel, 1 or 2.
– Select the panel position, 1 through 42.
– Number of Poles: Select the number of poles in the breaker.
– CT rating, 50 or 100 A.
– Click to put a check in the box to Enable Alarm Generation.
In the Breaker Identification section, type a descriptive name and location (up to 19 characters each)
for the breaker.
In the Branch Current Thresholds section, click the Enable check box to generate an alarm when the
electric current violates a threshold, or clear the check box to disable alarms. Define each threshold as a
percentage of the rated current.
When the configuration is complete, click Add Branch Breaker to apply your changes.
