Notes:
If the Auto-Reboot feature is enabled on outlet 1 and 2, then they will reboot at same time after a
set of pings fail.
If both the Auto-Reboot and the power saving features are enabled on outlet 4, all the controlled
outlet will be turned off by the Master when outlet 4 is rebooting.
When the outlet is OFF, the ping will be suspended.
Successful ping will reset Auto-Reboot feature.
Detecting the target host
There are hree kind of status for the target host:
Steps to detect the target host
1. From the Configuration and Control tab, select Configuration and outlets.
2. Click the link on the outlet name, and then navigate to the outlet configuration page
3. Enter the value of Target Host IP Address, and click the test button.
The status of the target host is detected and displayed
Configuring the Auto-Reboot Setting
The below available setting for Auto-Reboot Configuration for one specified outlet
Setting Descriptions
Unknown The status of target host is unknown. Before sending ping request to the target host,
the host status is unknown
Active Ping response has been received within 1 second after sending out ping request, the
target host is active in the network
Inactive No ping response received within 1 second after sending out ping request, the target
host is inactive in the network

Auto-Reboot
Enable
By selecting or clearing this check box, you can enable or disable the auto-reboot
feature on one specific outlet.
Try again after 24
hours
Retry pinging the target IP after one day after the ProAV failed to reboot the target IP
device.
Target Host IP
Address
This is the IP address that NMC will ping. This is typically the IP address of the
device that will be re-booted upon failure (such as a server, router, computer).
It could however, be the address of a device on the opposite side of a communications
link when NMC is used to reboot a communication device that does not have an IP
address such as a CSU/DSU, satellite modem, router, etc.
Successful Ping
Period
This is the time interval (in seconds) between successful ping requests. This time can
be set from 1 to 60000 seconds (1000 minutes or 16.666 hours). The factory default
for this setting is 60 seconds.
