Overview of setupUse the Simple
Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) to send e-
mail to up to four recipients when an
event occurs.
To use the e-mail feature, you must define
the following settings:
• The IP addresses of the primary and,
optionally, the secondary Domain Name
System (DNS) servers.
• The IP address or DNS name for SMTP
Server and From Address. (See Custom
E-mail server settings on page 48.)
You can use the To Address setting of the recipients option to send e-mail to a text-based
pager.

Setting Description
E-mail
Generation
Enables (default) or disables sending e-mail to the recipient.
To Address The email address of the recipient.
Format
The long format contains Name, Location, Contact, IP address, serial number of the device, date and
time, event code, and event description. The short format provides only the event description.
Language
Chose a language from the drop-down list and any mails will be sent in that language. It is possible to use
different languages for different users.
