Joining Enclosures
You can expand your installation by joining two enclosures together. Enclosures without sides
include pre-installed baying hardware. Enclosures with sides do not include baying hardware.
To join together two NetShelter VX enclosures with sides or to join together a NetShelter VX
enclosure and a NetShelter VS enclosure, one of the following kits available from APC is required.
Before joining enclosures
To join an enclosure with sides to an enclosure without sides, you will first need to move some of the
baying hardware from the enclosure without sides to the enclosure with sides.
Remove the side panel from the enclosure with sides, if necessary.
Move the baying hardware from one enclosure to the other, if necessary.
To join together two enclosures without sides, see “How to Connect Enclosures Together” on
page 34.
