UPS User Interface Display
Configuration of the NMC IP address
though the UPS user interface
display is not available for all UPS models.
For Smart-UPS model UPS with the prefix SMT, SMX, or SRT, the NMC IP
address can be configured at the user interface of the UPS:
1. If you plan to manually assign the network settings, contact your system
administrator to obtain a valid IP address, subnet mask, and default gate
way
fo
r the Network Management Card.
2. At the user interface display, press the Home icon.
3. Select Configuration > Network.
4. At the prompt, enter the user password for your UPS (apc, be default), th
en
select NMC
Settings.
5. For the Network Management Card you are configuring, select Configur
e
NMC
Settings.
6. In the Network settings mode drop-down list, select the netw
ork
configu
ration option for your system: Manual, BootP, DHCP, or DHCP
&
BootP.

If you select Manual, enter the
IP address, subnet mask, and default
gatew
ay you obtained in step 1.
– If you select BootP, DHCP, or DHCP & BootP, a DHCP or
BOOTP
server w
ill assign the IP address, subnet mask, and default gate
way
fo
r the Network Management Card.
7. Press Apply to save your changes.
