2. Press the [DOWN] key five times to select “IF-SFT” in reverse contrast.
3. Rotate the sub dial to select the shift frequency from the range of -1200 Hz ~ +1200 Hz in 50 Hz. step.
4. Press the [MHz] key to accept the entry and return to a standard display.
Alternatively, press the [CLR] key to abort entry, or press the [DOWN] key to move to the next item
on the configuration menu.
10-7 AFC (AUTOMATIC FREQUENCY CONTROL)
AFC function automatically controls the receive frequency to prevent frequency drift of the receive signal.
Note: This function operates only in the NFM mode with an IF bandwidth of 30 kHz or lower.
To activate the function, perform the following steps:
1. Press the [FUNC] key, and then press the [0] key.
2. Press the [DOWN] key several times to select “AFC” in reverse contrast.
3. Rotate the sub dial to select on/off.
4. Press the [MHz] key to accept the entry and return to a standard display.
Alternatively, press the [CLR] key to abort entry, or press the [DOWN] key to move to the next item
on the configuration menu.
10-8 CTCSS (CONTINUOUS TONE CONTROLLED SQUELCH SYSTEM)
CTCSS function will enable the AR5001D to selectively receive only specifically modulated sub-audible
tones or to verify the CTCSS frequency used.
Note: This function operates only in the NFM mode with a frequency of 25 MHz or higher.
To activate the function, perform the following steps:
1. Press the [FUNC] key, and then press the [0] key.
2. Press the [DOWN] key several times to select “CTCSS” in reverse contrast.
3. Rotate the sub dial to select the inversion frequency from the range of 60 Hz ~ 254.1 Hz as from the list
below. To set CTCSS off (ALL), press the [PASS] key.
