This comment about the Yaesu frg-9600 was found on the Internet.
"I have owned the FRG-9600 for a few short weeks. I just can't figure out the scanning set up of this unit. It has
100 memory channels all of which I can fill with frequencies to listen to but when it scans and stops on a
memory channel the display digits start to blink from left to right and then it resumes scanning cutting off the
conversation. I just don't get it." (see rest of review at www.eham.net).

"Fully controlled by a microprocessor, all major functions and facilities are very easily used, with the accent on
simplicity and high performance. With features that both new and seasoned shortwave listeners will appreciate.
Ideal for shortwave decoding of FAX, RTTY, etc. as this unit has been very well screened, so works well next to
your computer."
FM receiver mode requires the optional FMU100 unit.
