E-IDE DVD-ROM Quick Installation Guide

1. Turn off and unplug PC then remove cover.
2. Set the Master/Slave jumper on rear panel of
DVD-ROM.
A. Set the jumper to Master device if your
DVD-ROM is the only device which connect
to Secondary IDE port.
B. Set the jumper to Slave device if your
DVD-ROM will be connected to Primary
/Secondary IDE port.
3. Slide the DVD-ROM horizontally into the
empty bay and mount it.
4. Connect the E-IDE cable to DVD-ROM.
5. Connect the sound cable(if applicable).
6. Connect the 4-pole power cable to drive.
7. Close the PC cover, plug in then turn the
power on.
Do not use fragile disc, it may crack during high
speed reading.

1. Den PC ausschalten, dessen Netzstecker vom
Stromnetz abtrennen und das PC-Gehäuse
entfernen.
2. Die Master-/Slave-Steckbrücke auf der Rückseite
des DVD-ROM’s einstellen.
A. Den Überbrückungsstecker auf das
Master-Gerät einstellen, falls Ihr DVD-ROM das
einzige Gerät ist, welches an einen sekundären
IDE-Anschluß angeschlossen wird.
B. Den Überbrückungsstecker auf das Slave-Gerät
einstellen, falls sie an einen primären/sekundären
IDE-Anschluß angeschlossen wird.
3. Das DVD-ROM in ein unbenutztes Einbaufach
einschieben und befestigen.
4. Das E-IDE-Kabel an das DVD-ROM
anschließen.
5. Daa Soundkabel (falls vorhanden) anschließen.
6. Dann den 4poligen Stecker des Stromkabels an
das Laufwerk anschließen.
7. Das PC-Gehäuse wieder anbringen, den PC ans
Stromnetz anschließen und einschalten.
Verwenden Sie keine zerbrechlichen Disketten, da
diese bei einer hohen Drehgeschwindigkeit beim
Lesen beschädigt werden können.

1. Apagar y desenchufar el PC luego quitar la
cubierta.
2. Ajustar el caballete de conexión
Principal/Esclavo en el panel posterior de
DVD-ROM.
A.
Ajuste el saltador al aparato Maestro si
su DVD-ROM es el único aparato que está
conectado al orificio de IDE Secundario.
B.
Ajuste el saltador al aparato de Esclavo si su
DVD-ROM está conectado al orficio de IDE
Primario/Secundario.
3. Resbalar el DVD-ROM horizontalmente en
el compartimiento vacío y montarlo.
4. Conectar el cable E-IDE al DVD-ROM.
5. Conectar el cable de sonido (si es aplicable)
6. Conectar el cable de potencia de 4-polos a la
unidad.
7. Cerrar el PC, enchufar y luego encender la
potencia.
No use disco frágil, podría romperse durante la
lectura de alta velocidad.

1. Eteignez et débranchez le PC puis retirez le
capot.
2. Positionnez le cavalier Maître/Esclave sur la face
arrière du DVD-ROM.
A. Positionnez le cavalier sur périphérique Maître
si votre DVD-ROM est le seul périphérique
devant être connecté au port IDE Secondaire.
B. Positionnez le cavalier sur périphérique Esclave
si votre DVD-ROM doit être connecté au port IDE
Primaire/Secondaire.
3. Introduisez le DVD-ROM horizontalement dans
la baie vide et fixez-le.
4. Connectez le câble E-IDE au DVD-ROM.
5. Connectez le câble son (s’il y a lieu).
6. Connectez le câble d’alimentation à 4 branches
au lecteur.
7. Fermez le PC, branchez et allumez le PC.
N'utilisez pas de disque fragile, il pourrait se briser
pendant la lecture à haute vitesse.
