If you want to disable PIN and avoid above procedure, do the following.
1) Tip Start > Settings > Personal tab > Phone > Security tab.
2) Do not select the Require PIN when phone is used check box.
•
If you entered PIN incorrectly three times in a row, the RUIM card will be blocked. In
that case, unblock it with the PUK (PIN Unblocking Key) obtained from your wireless
service provider.
Turn the phone function on and off
In many countries, you are required by law to turn off your phone while on board
an aircraft.
To turn off the phone function, do one of the following:
• Tap the Wireless Manager icon ( ) on the Today screen. On the Wireless
Manager screen, tap the Phone button to turn off the phone function. To
resume call function, turn on the phone function by tapping the Phone button
again on the Wireless Manager screen.
• Tap the Wireless Manager icon ( ) on the Today screen. On the Wireless
Manager screen, tap All. This disables all wireless radios on your device,
which include the phone function, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi. To resume call
function, tap the All button again on the Wireless Manager screen. This
restores the previous states of phone function and Bluetooth.
