6.2 Ethernet Configuration File (‘ethcfg.cfg’)
6.2.1 General
To exist on the network, the Anybus Communicator needs a valid TCP/IP configuration. These settings 
are stored in the system file ‘\ethcfg.cfg’. Note that if TCP/IP settings are enabled in Anybus Configu-
ration Manager, then the IP address, gateway and subnet settings in ethcfg.cfg will be overwritten every 
time the module is restarted. All other settings are unaffected.
